How I Can Help
I provide peer support. I support patients in understanding their medical conditions by explaining things in plain language, presenting options for management, and providing strategies to work with their care team towards their goals.

I can create resource documents, organize medical information/history and more. I support patients' self-determination and autonomy in healthcare so they can make the choices that work best for their life and journey.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome (hEDS/HSD), mast cell activation syndrome, allergies, ME/CFS, small fiber neuropathy
I approach patient advocacy as a peer. I've been in the hospital, I've had procedures, I've had a long diagnostic odyssey and have developed tools and tenacity along the way. I believe you, and want to support you in getting the care you want and need.

I formerly supported individuals in their spiritual life by providing active listening, prayer and spiritual resources. I trained with narrative and solutions-based approaches to support. I also worked at an independent living center supporting disabled folks in getting their needs met.

Like many people undergoing complex care, I'm familiar with the paperwork, phone calls and admin we are required to do including but not limited to:
-medicaid
-In home supportive services
-private caregiving
-Medi-cal 250% working disabled program
-HMO and PPO insurance

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I am a chronically ill person who feels drawn to support others in navigating their own journey. So many fellow disabled people helped me get access to the care I wanted so I want to help others do the same. The medical industrial complex is challenging to navigate and I am happy to roll alongside you as you direct your care.
