Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My advocacy comes from living with migraine, TMJD, chronic pain, hypermobility, depression, and other disorders and navigating life with a disability every day. I know what it’s like to have something serious dismissed because it isn’t visible, and how exhausting it can be to keep explaining your needs just to be understood. That experience is what drives me to speak up—not just for myself, but for others who feel overlooked or unheard.
I’m someone who doesn’t give up easily. I’m willing to ask the hard questions, push for answers, and advocate for accommodations that make life more manageable and fair. At the same time, I try to lead with understanding, because I know how much it matters to feel believed and supported.
What I offer is honesty, persistence, and real perspective. I want to help create spaces—whether in healthcare, work, or everyday life—where people with migraine and other invisible disabilities are taken seriously and don’t have to fight so hard just to have their needs recognized.
