My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Traumatic events, and peer support specialist with lived experience navigating life challenges. I provide mental health support, crisis de-escalation, advocacy, and help with everyday stressors, focusing on self-advocacy and clear communication.
I have been trained and/or certified as a peer mentor.
California-certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist.
Survivor-nurse-peer support specialist providing Medical Guidance through mental health support, crisis de-escalation, and advocacy.

With lived experience, I offer empathetic, straightforward support to help individuals better understand their situations, communicate their needs, and strengthen their self-advocacy. My approach focuses on exploration rather than quick conclusions, ensuring concerns are taken seriously and all possible paths are considered.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I work with individuals and families navigating complex healthcare and system-related challenges, especially when communication is unclear or overwhelming. I support clients in clearly expressing their needs, organizing concerns, and requesting necessary clarification from their care teams.

I also maintain documented communication when follow-up or escalation is needed and translate complex information into simple, understandable language. Throughout the process, I provide steady emotional support while helping clients build confidence in communicating and strengthening their own self-advocacy over time.
