Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I have spent most of my professional career as a behavioral health case manager, specializing in the mature adult. Living far from my aging parents, I watched them struggle with the healthcare system. I realized a need for patient advocacy in the aging population of FL, many without their families nearby that sometimes find themselves in these roles. I decided to become an independent patient advocate to serve my local community and keep my patient’s wishes as the foundation of support.
