I can help you and your loved ones navigate the complex healthcare system to ensure you get the quality, personalized care and treatment you deserve. I will provide a detailed and thorough current medication list as well as health history that you can easily share with all providers to ensure that everyone has the whole picture in providing your best care. I am available to attend appointments, ER visits and transitions of care from one facility to another or discharges to home, either in person or virtually. I will take down detailed notes and provide them to you and any loved ones you may wish to keep updated about your treatments and condition. Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
In October 2023, both of my parents were involved in a serious motorcycle accident and were in critical condition. I was suddenly thrust into the role of primary caregiver and decision maker for them both. Even with years of nursing experience, navigating the healthcare system as a daughter and caregiver was a confusing and daunting task. It became my full-time job over the next several months as I learned what things looked like from this side of healthcare and helped my parents on their road to recovery. I frequently wished desperately for "someone" to turn to, to help me find my way through all of this. I became determined to be that "someone" for others, helping to keep the patient's voice, wishes and needs at the forefront of their care. I learned a bit about how to deal with insurance companies, and what to do when the answer at first was "denied". I want to be your partner in quality, personalized health care.
