How I Can Help
With extensive experience in insurance and billing, combined with the knowledge to provide you guidance through your medical care, and a unique caregiver rest and renewal pathway, I bring a unique mix to supporting complex patients and patient/caregiver teams.
I provide practical, hands-on support including:
• Compare Marketplace, COBRA, employer, and Medicare options to help you understand your health insurance choices.
• Review insurance plans to help identify coverage for insulin, diabetes supplies, specialists, durable medical equipment, and ongoing treatment needs.
• Explain deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, and benefits in plain language.
• Organize medical records into a personalized medical binder so important information is easy to access during appointments or emergencies.
• Review medical bills and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify billing errors, duplicate charges, and opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Assist with insurance claims, appeals, prior authorization issues, and communication with insurance companies.
• Coordinate appointments, specialists, community resources, and follow-up care to reduce stress and improve continuity of care.
• Help caregivers organize important healthcare documents, medication lists, emergency contacts, and long-term care planning information.
• Guide caregivers through my Caregiver Reset & Renewal Roadmap, helping them rebuild balance by focusing on physical wellness, emotional health, financial planning, self-care, respite resources, and long-term caregiving sustainability.
• Help families create practical healthcare organization systems that make managing complex medical situations less overwhelming.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My path into patient advocacy began through my work in medical billing and revenue cycle management, where I saw firsthand how complex and overwhelming the healthcare system can be for patients and their families. I regularly encountered individuals who were confused about their medical bills, denied coverage they didn’t understand, or struggling to navigate care decisions without clear guidance.
Over time, I realized that many of these challenges were not due to a lack of care, but a lack of understanding and support. I began helping patients and families outside of my formal role, explaining their bills, guiding them through insurance issues, and helping them feel more confident in managing their healthcare.
That experience naturally led me into patient advocacy. Today, I use my background and knowledge to bridge the gap between patients, providers, and insurance companies, making the process clearer, less stressful, and more manageable for those who need support.
