How I Can Help
As your Personal Healthcare Strategist & Medical Researcher, I break down the scientific evidence and coach you through making the most of your medical appointments.
I offer multiple services, listed below.
- The Question Brief: One question thoroughly research. I report what the published evidence and guidelines say and help draft questions to raise at your medical appointments. One video conferencing call is included.
- The Research Dossier. I perform a deep-dive on your healthcare questions to generate a customized report that can serve as a reference for you throughout your healthcare journey. The report contains a synthesis of medical evidence, guideline recommendations, clinical trials, and questions to discuss with your healthcare team. It includes up to three video conferencing calls to discuss progress, add any additional concerns or updates, and create a strategy to navigate your unique healthcare journey.
- Ongoing Support. I offer literature updates, appointment preparation, coaching, and logistics. This includes one video conferencing call per month and unlimited messaging.
I work virtually with clients anywhere in the United States. I am not a physician and this is not medical advice. I don't diagnose, treat, interpret test results, assess urgency, rank or recommend care, and I don't handle insurance or legal matters.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I started Osér Clair after my mother was diagnosed with cancer.
She was the first person in my family to face something that serious. I became her care coordinator. I talked with her care team, tracked what had been said and by whom, and advocated for her as a patient. I had the training and I understood how the system worked, and it was still hard, especially while I was living it as a daughter.
That is what stayed with me. If it was that hard with someone like me in the room, what happens to everyone without that person? Navigating a serious diagnosis becomes a second full-time job, at exactly the moment you have the least time and energy for one.
I could do that work for my mother. What I could not be was the calm outside voice, because I was frightened too. That is the person I wanted her to have, and it is the person I can be for someone else's family.
I have spent the last ten years in research and medical training, so reading the evidence is what I have been trained to do. Because I have designed and run studies myself, I know how they are built and where their results get overstated, which matters, because misinformation is very good at sounding certain.
Something else became clear to me during my training. Doctors want more time with their patients, and the constraint is how many patients are in the day, not the will. So my work is not a way around your care team. It helps you make the time you have with them count, on both sides.
Knowledge is power, and helping people hold some of it is, I think, a way to do a little good in the world.
