As an independent patient advocate I can:
- review your case and offer guidance regarding next steps
- create a medical binder for you to help organize and highlight the important parts, improving communication with your healthcare team
- assist in drafting pre-visit priority check lists of items to discuss when seeing a medical provider/specialist
- explain options available to help prioritize quality of life such as Advanced Directives and POLST forms
- participate in family meetings (by video conference) to assist with difficult conversations and help get everyone on the same page

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My mom was in a major car accident when I was 6 years old. She went from being the nurse who took care of everyone, to being the one who needed care. I was by her side while she had 14 major surgeries over the next 10 years. I brought this first-hand experience with me as I earned my degree as a nurse practitioner, and I have used it to help my patients navigate the system over the past 14 years.
I'll be honest - the system is broken, and often insurance companies and hospitals are financially motivated to limit care to reduce their own costs. Human lives shouldn't be subject to a cost-benefit analysis. As an independent patient advocate I'm here to help be your guide through the jungle that is the modern American healthcare system.
