How I Can Help
loveandlightwellnessvt.com

I bring both professional training as a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach and lived experience with chronic illness (hEDS/POTS/MCAS) to this work. I understand the exhaustion of managing symptoms and the exhaustion of managing a healthcare system that doesn't always know what to do with you. Here's what working together can look like:

*Turning scattered information into a plan
Between forums, provider opinions, and your own research, it's easy to end up with more noise than clarity. I help you sort through it and figure out what's actually relevant to you and your values.

*Building your appointment prep
We'll organize your history, symptoms, and questions ahead of time so you walk in ready. This will help you from leaving that appointment forgetting the thing you most needed to ask.

*Finding your voice with providers
Self-advocacy in a medical setting is a skill that can be learned with support. I can help you practice naming what you need and pushing back when something doesn't sit right.

*Working within your actual capacity
No pacing-blind productivity plans here. Whatever we build together accounts for fluctuating energy, flare-ups, and the reality that "good enough and sustainable" beats "optimized and unsustainable."

*Learning about your body
Did you walk out of that appointment with a bunch of instructions but no idea what any of it meant or why it was relevant to your body? Me too. Learning how YOUR body functions at baseline or in flares can be incredibly empowering with a new diagnosis, and can ground the recommendations you get into actionable steps that make sense.

*Mapping what's next, at your pace
Whether you aren't diagnosed yet or multiple years into your health journey, I can help you figure out priorities and next steps without the pressure to have it all figured out right now.

*You don't have to do this alone
Living with hEDS/POTS/MCAS means I know what it's like to need someone in your corner who isn't just reciting textbook advice. I'm here for you. Really.

My Survivor Support Advocacy Qualifications
I am a survivor of Hypermobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
I found my way into this work the same way many people with EDS do—by necessity. After navigating multiple chronic illness diagnoses in my early twenties, including Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, and MCAS, I turned to mindfulness, yoga, and nervous-system-supportive practices to make sense of my experience.

I know firsthand what it’s like to live in a body that requires creativity, pacing, and constant problem-solving. And I also know the incredible joy that can come from finding strategies, movements, and routines that actually help and don’t make you flare for three days.
Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I was diagnosed with hEDS/POTS/MCAS at 20 years old. However, my symptoms have been almost lifelong. The diagnostic process and screening for these conditions is incredibly difficult, and patients are often left saying "well, what now?" after they receive their diagnosis. This is how I felt. And I decided that things could be different.

You deserve someone who can support you through not only the hEDS/HSD diagnostic process and screening for comorbidities like POTS/MCAS, but someone who sticks around with you afterwards, too. After establishing your care plan, most of the management strategies are centered around maintaining a new lifestyle! This is exactly what a health coach can do.
