Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years. I love helping patients and families navigate this complicated healthcare system. I have always advocated hard for my patients, family, and friends. In 2006 my father had an aortic dissection which was required an extensive surgery and a several weeks of hospitalization with him being in a coma. Since he was unable to speak for himself, my siblings and I had to advocate for him and push for what he needed. We got him home and had many years with him. That will always be my why.
