How I Can Help
I am a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience across acute care, sub‑acute care, home health, and outpatient settings. For the past five years, I have also served as an insurance reviewer and an inpatient care coordinator. This experience has given me a rare, comprehensive understanding of how healthcare systems truly function. This blend of clinical and administrative insight allows me to guide clients and families through complex medical decisions with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

As a patient advocate I can provide help in the following areas:
Medical Navigation
Clarifying diagnoses in plain language
Researching available treatment options and arranging second opinions
Helping prepare for doctor’s appointments and accompanying clients if needed
Organizing medical records for easy access and understanding

Care Transitions:
Supporting hospital discharges after rehab or acute care
Assisting with research and selection of skilled nursing or assisted living facilities
Attending discharge planning meetings to ensure safe transitions home
Coordinating home health services and durable medical equipment (DME) for faster recovery

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My passion for patient advocacy began when I saw firsthand how confusing and overwhelming the healthcare system can be for patients and their families.
As a physical therapist I’ve walked alongside countless patients through recovery and complex medical decisions—whether in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health care. I’ve supported individuals recovering from surgeries, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries, helping them make sense of their diagnoses, explore treatment options, and transition safely and confidently back home.
In my later roles as an insurance reviewer and inpatient care coordinator, I witnessed another side of the healthcare system—where even clinically appropriate care could be delayed by paperwork, approvals, or system gaps. I worked to streamline pre-authorizations, improve communication between providers and insurers, and ensure fair access to the rehabilitation services patients needed.
Along the way, I found myself naturally supporting friends and family too—researching treatment options, preparing questions for appointments, and helping them advocate for second opinions. Those experiences reaffirmed what I had long believed: every patient deserves a voice, clarity, and compassionate guidance through every stage of care and no one should have to face the healthcare system alone.
