• Client Empowerment & Education: I help you understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and your rights so you can make informed decisions that match your values and preferences.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
After twenty years as a critical care/ICU and rehab nurse, I saw the same pattern repeatedly: patients who had a knowledgeable advocate by their side consistently achieved better outcomes than those who faced the healthcare system alone.
I witnessed too many individuals fall through the cracks — discharged too soon, medications misunderstood, important questions left unasked, or care plans that didn’t align with their values or real-life needs. Without someone closely monitoring trends, coordinating between providers, and speaking up when necessary, small issues quickly became serious setbacks.
These experiences taught me a powerful truth: patients who have a skilled advocate who truly understands healthcare get better results. The strongest advocacy doesn’t begin in the middle of a crisis — it starts earlier, through a trusted relationship built on knowing the person’s health history, goals, family dynamics, and preferences long before urgent decisions are needed.
That’s why I founded Call My Nurse Advocate, PLLC. I created this independent patient advocacy practice so every client has access to a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and experienced nurse proactively watching over their care — reducing stress, preventing avoidable problems, and helping them navigate the healthcare system with clarity and confidence.

Additional Skills
As a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) and registered nurse with over 20 years of experience, I bring a powerful combination of hands-on clinical expertise and leadership insight to my independent advocacy practice.
My background includes extensive work in critical care and rehabilitation nursing, where I developed sharp clinical assessment skills and learned to spot subtle changes that can significantly impact outcomes. In addition, my experience in hospital leadership has given me deep knowledge of how healthcare systems operate — including care coordination, discharge planning, provider communication, and navigating complex organizational processes.
This blend allows me to advocate for clients with both clinical precision and strategic understanding of the system. I help bridge the gap between what patients need and what the healthcare system often delivers.
