Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
As a nurse for over 20 years I have always been a passionate advocate for my patients and families. I took for granted the advantage my vast knowledge and experience in healthcare gave me when navigating my personal and my family's health care issues. When a family member became ill I was easily able to step in, ask appropriate questions, manage care and have a life-saving impact. Nurse advocacy has become my new passion, to help other families who are struggling to navigate our complex health care system and ensure that every client gets the healthcare they need and deserve.
