How I Can Help
I am a registered nurse who works privately for your family, not the hospital or insurer. When an aging parent's care becomes too much to manage alone, I help in these ways:

I review and organize all of a parent's medications, prescriptions, over-the-counter remedies, and supplements, into one clear list, and flag interactions, duplications, and questions worth raising with the prescribing doctor.

I help your family understand a diagnosis in plain language, including diabetes and other chronic conditions, so you know what the numbers mean, why the schedule matters, and what to ask at the next appointment.

I coordinate care when it is spread across multiple specialists, hospitals, and discharge plans, holding the whole picture so nothing falls through the cracks.

I prepare you for medical appointments, help you know what questions to ask, and can attend with you to take notes and make sense of what was said.

I translate confusing medical information and discharge instructions into clear next steps your family can actually follow at home.

I do not provide hands-on or clinical care, and I do not replace your doctors. I work alongside them, and only for you, so your family feels informed, organized, and less alone. Every family begins with a free call to talk through what you are facing.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
Caring for other people has always been in my nature. It is the reason I became a nurse, and after more than thirty years it is still the part of this work that matters most to me.

I spent my career in some of the most demanding corners of medicine, including intensive care, the emergency room, OB-GYN, orthopedics, and med-surg. I taught for twelve of those years, helping train the nurses who would go on to care for others. Later, as a hospice case manager, I walked beside families through the hardest days they will ever face.

In every one of those settings, I kept seeing the same thing. It was never that the doctors and nurses did not care. It was that families were left alone to make sense of it all: a discharge plan nobody explained, specialists who never spoke to each other, a parent who nodded along in the appointment and understood almost none of it by the time they got home.

That is the gap I decided to fill. I became a private patient advocate so that no family has to face the medical system alone, without someone in their corner who speaks the language and works only for them. Helping a worried family finally feel informed and less afraid is the most meaningful work I have ever done.
