How I Can Help
Navigating healthcare can feel overwhelming, especially when you're managing medical bills, insurance questions, disability paperwork, or important medical records.
Through Teaira Advocacy, I provide personalized, nonclinical patient advocacy and healthcare navigation support to help individuals and families feel more organized, informed, and confident about their next steps.
My areas of support include:
Medical Billing & Insurance Support
Helping patients organize medical bills, review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, identify potential billing discrepancies, prepare questions for insurance companies, and track billing inquiries.
Disability & Leave Documentation
Assisting with Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and FMLA paperwork, medical documentation organization, claim correspondence, deadlines, and administrative follow-ups.
Medical Records Organization
Helping patients obtain and organize medical records, physician notes, visit summaries, medical histories, and important healthcare documents.
Appointment Preparation & Healthcare Navigation
Assisting with appointment preparation, questions for providers, referrals, patient portals, medical notes, and tracking follow-up tasks.
Chronic Pain & Complex Healthcare Organization
Helping individuals managing chronic pain, multiple providers, or ongoing healthcare needs organize documentation and coordinate nonclinical administrative tasks.
With experience in healthcare administration, pain management practice operations, insurance, and disability claims, I understand how challenging healthcare processes can become.
My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and prepared—not overwhelmed.
You don't have to navigate every healthcare challenge alone.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
My interest in patient advocacy grew from my years working in healthcare and seeing firsthand how difficult navigating the healthcare system can be for patients and their families.
I began my career in healthcare and spent nearly six years in pain management, eventually serving as a Clinical Supervisor and Practice Manager. During that time, I saw how challenging it could be for patients to coordinate appointments, manage medical records, understand paperwork, and communicate with healthcare providers.
I later worked in insurance operations and disability claims administration, gaining experience with Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, FMLA, medical documentation, and insurance processes.
These experiences gave me an understanding of both sides of healthcare—the operational systems behind the scenes and the administrative challenges patients face.
I created Teaira Advocacy because I wanted to use my experience to help individuals and families feel more informed, organized, and supported.
I believe patients deserve to understand their options, have their concerns heard, and feel confident asking questions.
My approach is simple: listen, understand the situation, help organize the information, and work alongside patients and families to identify practical next steps.
Sometimes having someone in your corner can make all the difference.
