Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
A personal family crisis showed me how many other families struggle when they are suddenly thrown into the fast paced world of modern healthcare. As an ICU nurse at a cancer hospital, I saw the causes of medical error from inside the system and knew I could do something about it from outside. When I was almost fired for advocating for an ICU patient in danger, the surgeon tried to have me fired for being a whistle blower. I left shortly afterward to start my first advocacy firm in 2011 and the rest as they say is history. My number one reason for becoming an advocate is to use my knowledge and experience to help prevent medical errors from occurring in the first place. In today's complex world of healthcare, it is simply NEVER a bad idea to hire an experienced RN patient advocate to help you navigate frightening and confusing healthcare crises. As many of our referral partners tell potential clients: "This will be the BEST money you have ever spent!" Your beloved family member cannot be replaced, so invest in an expert to help today.
