How I Can Help
I help patients, caregivers, and families navigate the healthcare system, resolve challenges, and make informed decisions about their care. Drawing on more than 40 years of healthcare experience, I provide advocacy and support with medical billing issues, insurance denials and appeals, healthcare benefits, provider coordination, care transitions, and access to community resources.
I work directly with clients to review medical bills, identify errors, address insurance concerns, coordinate communication among healthcare providers and health plans, prepare for medical appointments, and organize complex health information. My goal is to reduce stress, save time, protect financial well-being, and help clients receive the care and coverage they deserve.

Why I Became A Professional Health Care Advocate
When I first became involved, an 85-year-old woman had been struggling with a persistent urinary tract infection for months. As her condition worsened, she experienced significant cognitive and physical decline, leaving her family overwhelmed and uncertain about the next steps.
Over the following seven months, I coordinated her care, advocated for appropriate testing and treatment, and worked closely with her healthcare providers to ensure her medical needs were addressed. I collaborated with her home health team to put the right support services in place, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy when needed.
As her health challenges became more complex, I helped the patient and her family navigate difficult decisions about her future care. Together, we transitioned her to a palliative care model focused on comfort, quality of life, and aligning care with her goals and needs.
Today, she has a dedicated healthcare team supporting her journey. She is more engaged, her cognition has improved, and she is adapting to her new reality with greater confidence and support. I continue to check in regularly to ensure her care remains coordinated and that she has the resources needed to live the highest quality of life possible.
This case reflects the power of patient advocacy—bringing together providers, services, patients, and families to create a coordinated plan of care that improves outcomes and supports dignity, independence, and quality of life.
