Artificial intelligence is changing healthcare, and patient advocates need to understand both its potential and its risks.
Join Renea Stasaski, BCPA, as she explains how today's AI tools work, where they make mistakes, and how to use them safely in your advocacy practice. Whether you're brand new to AI or already experimenting with it, you'll gain practical skills to protect client information, recognize AI's limitations, and use these tools with greater confidence. This session has been approved for 1 General CE by the Patient Advocate Certification Board — FREE for APHA members.
When people advocate for limits on AI, are they primarily protecting society, or could these restrictions inadvertently limit access to a technology that could benefit everyone?
In my experience working with Aphaia, AI served as a tool to help express my own thoughts rather than generating opinions or ideas for me. With my background and education, I view AI as a platform to assist communication while still actively challenging and shaping the content myself.
I look forward to hearing your perspective on these points during the session.
