About me
My path to patient advocacy was born at the intersection of clinical expertise and deeply personal experience. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming and fragmented the healthcare system can be, even for those with medical knowledge. Too often, I witnessed patients and families struggle to make informed decisions, understand their options, and receive coordinated care. But it wasn’t until I became a patient myself, facing a life-threatening diagnosis and the uncertainty that came with it, that I truly understood the critical need for advocacy. I can say without hesitation: self-advocacy saved my life. Through that experience, and by supporting loved ones through their own health journeys, I gained a deeper appreciation for the confusion, fear, and exhaustion that so many face when navigating our complex medical system. I founded Divine Wellness Partners to be a steady, compassionate guide for those who need clarity and support. My mission is to bridge gaps in care, advocate alongside clients, and serve as a collaborative resource for their healthcare teams. To me, advocacy isn’t just about showing up. Advocacy is about standing up for patients, promoting health literacy, improving continuity of care, and empowering individuals to take an active role in their wellness. Together, we’ll navigate the complexities of healthcare and focus on what matters most: your health, your goals, and your peace of mind.
