About me
I began working as a licensed midwife after graduating from Bastyr University in 2022. After spending a few years in clinical practice, I became burnt out from being on call nearly 24/7. I needed to leave clinical practice but desired to keep supporting patients. Working to help people in the midwifery space is my passion and calling. I love helping people and want to facilitate a smoother experience for every person that I work with. I have found that independent patient advocacy is the perfect way to do this!
As a licensed midwife I saw how hard people often had to fight to be seen and heard as patients. It is hard for folks to navigate healthcare issues during these sensitive times in their lives. Patients deserve to be respected and taken seriously. I was often shocked at how other providers would treat these patients. The current OB/GYN landscape is challenging, often inadequate, and can leave patients feeling alone, unheard, and unsupported. With a patient advocate you have professional support that prioritizes getting your needs met.
I work with Dr. Lauren Wheeler, MD and am an independent contractor for her business, Lost Coast Advocacy. We work closely together to support a wide demographic of patients.
