About me
Hi everyone, I'm Martha McClatchie, and I'm grateful to be part of this community.
I am a family caregiver. I cared for my mother through her kidney cancer diagnosis and, ultimately, her respiratory failure, while raising three kids under 10.
Today, I'm co-founder and Chief Operating Officer and CFO of AZcare, a small California company building AZcall, an AI calling assistant that handles the most time-consuming parts of phone calls: navigating phone menus, waiting on hold, scheduling appointments, and following up.
My co-founder and technology partner’s mother was the inspiration for AZcall, as he navigated her healthcare journey along with raising his 4 children, the phone communication was intense and he knew there must be a better way.
We started with healthcare phone appointments because the phone is still how so much care actually gets arranged, and the hours people lose on hold are hours taken away from patients and families.
I joined PA360° to learn from people who are currently on the front lines of the calls, the callbacks, and the phone trees, and I'd like to understand where that work gets bogged down: what eats your time, what frustrates your clients, and what you wish existed.
If you're willing to share a phone horror story, or would like to try AZcall and tell me honestly what works and what doesn't, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for the work you do for patients and their families.
