Hello from San Francisco: Pancreatic Patient Advocate

Hello everyone, I'm James Anderson, a Pancreatic Patient Advocate in San Francisco. I am a long-term Whipple procedure survivor with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and for more than 15 years I have managed my own complex care and my father's across UCSF, Stanford Cancer Center, Sutter Health, and outside labs.

My specialty is the medical binder: one organized, chronological record of every hospital, lab, scan, and medication, with a two-page summary on top. I also help with appointment preparation, insurance and specialty pharmacy problems, and updates for out-of-town family. I work in person in San Francisco and by phone and video in all 50 states.
