Kathleen is a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Family Advocate who helps overwhelmed caregivers move from chaos to clarity during the most unpredictable phases of TBI recovery. After supporting her husband through his own traumatic brain injury in March of 2024, she became passionate about giving families the education and support she wished she had.

People for Patient Safety unites healthcare professionals, patient advocates, caregivers, and community members who bring valuable firsthand healthcare experiences. Our mission is to equip patients and families with the knowledge and tools to safely navigate their healthcare journey. We invite you to join our interactive Zoom discussions and become part of this important conversation.
The History of PPS:
Founded in 2014, PPS has evolved into a vibrant forum where healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community members collaborate to advance patient safety. Through meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange, participants gain valuable insights from shared experiences, ultimately enhancing their understanding of safe care practices and implementing evidence-based solutions in their respective settings.
Who Should Attend:
Individuals from the healthcare workforce (both current and retired), patient advocates, caregivers, and community members with firsthand experience of the healthcare system.
Time: 7:00 PM Eastern Time - Feel free to join early for check-in and casual conversation.
The program is free. Fee for BCPA CE's is $10

Her work focuses on helping families understand what’s really happening, how to communicate more effectively, and explains how they can try to protect themselves and their loved one from situations they would never think to prepare for. Through coaching and a clear, actionable plan, Kathleen empowers families to take back their sense of control and play an active role in their journey toward healing.
