Thank you for this! For Medicaid, they likley don't qualify based on their income because it is JUST above the line but I can double check on this.

The couple wasn't a fan of NYC Care, they are pretty into having insurance for emergencies which I understand. I am not familar with the bridge programs- New York doesn't allow short-term health insurance plans but I haven't heard of bridge programs. I honestly think I might refer to a few of the local organizations you mentioned because having a state and city specific expert is really needed in this case.

I do this part time, about 10 hours a week for context. My business is 3.5 years old. My clients mainly find me through GNA and word of mouth/referrals.

I offer a free inital consultation to make sure it's a good fit for everyone. There have been a few times where the free consut doesn't lead anywhere for me, and that's okay.

I do know some folks have built referral channels through building relationships with proivders direclty, or through marketing to care facilities.
