About me
I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Case Manager (CCM) with more than 35 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate the healthcare system with confidence. Throughout my career, I have worked across hospitals, managed care, home health, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, school nursing, utilization management, and complex case management, giving me a comprehensive understanding of today's healthcare system. I founded Lively Health Group to provide the personalized guidance I believe every person deserves. My goal is not only to coordinate care but also to educate, advocate, and empower clients so they can make informed decisions and feel confident throughout their healthcare journey. I believe the best healthcare outcomes occur when patients feel heard, families feel supported, and healthcare professionals collaborate. My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion, clear communication, and thoughtful problem-solving to reduce stress and simplify even the most complex situations. Whether I am helping a family understand a new diagnosis, supporting an older adult through care transitions, assisting a parent in advocating for their child, or serving as a Healthcare Agent for someone without family, I strive to bring calm, clarity, and peace of mind to every interaction. Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about promoting health equity, supporting vulnerable populations, advancing trauma-informed care, and helping individuals affected by domestic violence, substance use, and the juvenile justice system access the healthcare and community resources they need. I also strongly believe in preventive health, mindfulness, a healthy work-life balance, and whole-person wellness as essential foundations for lifelong health. Beyond my professional experience, I understand healthcare through a personal lens. Living with Sjögren's disease and navigating ADHD, while also supporting a loved one with Autism and Tourette syndrome, have given me firsthand insight into the realities of chronic illness, neurodiversity, and long-term care coordination. These experiences have strengthened my compassion, resilience, and commitment to helping others navigate the healthcare system with confidence and hope.
Formal Education

Additional Skills
My greatest strength as a healthcare advocate isn't found only in my nursing education or in more than 35 years of clinical experience. It comes from the life I've lived. Before I became a nurse advocate, I was a mother. Raising five children taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of showing up every day, even when life is difficult. Like many families, ours faced challenges that required perseverance, difficult decisions, and unwavering determination to keep moving forward. I have also experienced profound loss. That loss forever changed how I see people who are struggling. It reinforced my belief that every person deserves compassion, dignity, and someone to stand beside them during life's most difficult moments. Those experiences continue to shape how I care for others, with patience, without judgment, and with genuine respect for each person's unique story. Throughout my nursing career, I intentionally chose positions that allowed me to balance my professional responsibilities with my family's needs. Those experiences broadened my perspective and gave me firsthand knowledge of healthcare across many settings, including neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, home health, school nursing, managed care, and case management. Looking back, each role prepared me to better serve the individuals and families I work with today. Now that my children are adults, I have the opportunity to devote my full attention to the work I feel called to do. My experiences have humbled me. They have taught me that every person carries a story we cannot always see and that kindness, compassion, and respect can change lives. I believe we receive in life what we give to others. No matter the circumstances I have faced, I have chosen kindness over bitterness, compassion over judgment, and hope over despair. That philosophy guides every interaction I have with my clients. When you work with me, you are not only gaining an experienced nurse and certified case manager; you are partnering with someone who understands that healthcare is deeply personal, that advocacy requires both knowledge and heart, and that no one should have to navigate life's most difficult moments alone. My commitment is simple: to meet every client with empathy, integrity, and unwavering support, and to help them move forward with confidence, dignity, and peace of mind.
