Kimberly- would love an update… did you find what your client needed?

What a GREAT question, CarolAnn! I hope others will read the full question and lean into the conversation!

I'd also be super curious how many advocates were PATIENTS FIRST, then healthcare workers, now professional advocates.

Stephanie Muzzin hasn't been active on her GNA profile for a bit, but her background looks like it might also align.

hi, Morgan! You might also reach out to Sharon Morrissey, who has an MJ degree and specifically talks about IVF on her profile. Her specialty isn't listed as insurance & billing, but she's on the legal side.

Hi, Morgan! thanks for reaching out. You might chck in with

Lola Ogunjobi who is a PharmD but specifically says: «Experience with navigating payment for women fertility issues (IVF, egg freezing etc.), Experience with navigating Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial and Exchange plans; Experience in travel tourism and vaccinations» and lists «Insurance & Billing» as her primary specialty.

Karen, WELCOME!!!

We would LOVE you to pop into the 'insurance and billing' space, and talk about the advocacy you provide through employer plans, or any other insurance topic that might build conversation among our insurance focused advocates!

CarolAnne, we're so glad you're here!!! We would love you to jump into the medical guidance channel, and start a conversation about what it's like to be a healthcare leader turned patient turned advocates. Encourage others who have followed a similar path to join the discussion.

It was such a pleasure to meet you recently maggie!

In medical guidance, we have a space for 'condition specific topics'. I would LOVE for you to pop in there and open a discussion about parenting a neurodivergent child, or about living with your specific autoimmune condition(s). thanks for being here!

Nancy, this is cool!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

Do you interact with the folks at PULSE? I wonder if you might share some common ground.

Hi, Laurie! i hope folks jump in and join the conversation!

In the mean time, in case you've not used our site this way yet, here's a search specifically for 'oncology':

Hi, laurie! WELCOME and thanks for making the welcome post!

two quick suggestions — if you're looking for oncology advocates to help you make connections, could I suggest either changing the title/ heading at the top of this post to clearly say that, or a new post with that specific question being SUPER clear? (If you need help putting a heading on the post, just let me know and I can do it for you.)

Second, your photo seems to have zoomed in crazy close on whatever the image was, and isn't visible. could you edit your post and replace it?

Thanks for starting the thread, Andrew! We're very glad you're here.

Are there approaches you have taken to help your senior clients be able to interact with their smart devices at all? for example, to confirm appointments via text? What resources do your clients mostly find manageable — if there are any patterns you see? (would love you to edit the post and expand the thought a bit more, if you're game, in hopes of having others join in or learn from your experience!)

Amy, Thanks so much for joining and sharing about your background and practice.

Could I encourage you to start a new thread in medical guidance about any of the unique areas of your practice that might interest others? or begin a conversation about the unique community of Southern California healthcare?

Welcome Cheryl! We're so glad you're here. We would love if you would start a conversation that utilizes your specific knowledge and expertise, perhaps helping others understand how your DPT background is impactful in geriatric neuro cases or trauma recovery or post-ICU? Or opening a conversation with others about unique challenges in the healthcare community of the greater northwest?

Dana, thank you so much for telling us a bit about your practice and your history! We would LOVE for you to start a new thread, and share something about the particular needs or challenges of supporting cancer patients along their journey — within the «medical guidance — Condition-Specific Questions and Resources» space. Perhaps something like — what do you wish other advocates knew about supporting an existing client who suddenly encounters a cancer diagnosis? or open a dialogue about particular challenges unique in the oncology space?

Thank you so much for the detailed info, Anne. I've shared it with the family.

A small suggestion — adding «certified diabetes educator» likely would've brought you into the first search results I sent him. So would references to T1D. (I know it's tough, you can't put every condition in the world in your profile — or we'll assume you're a generalist and don't have extensive knowledge in that space. But specific keywords to areas of your specialty like T1D would pull you into the complex searches we do for clients like this one.)
